The Communist Youth League of Inner Mongolia University (IMU), is a mass organization of talented youth under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC). CYL acts as an assisting and reserved force for the Party and plays the role of a bridge linking the Party and the Chinese youth.

Under the leadership of the university’s Party Committee and the superior Communist Youth League, the CYL of IMU, upholds the university’s motto of “seeking truth and being pragmatic”, and the IMU spirit of “pursuing truth and excellence”, and sticks to the political nature, possessiveness and mass character of CYL. CYL centers on the core work of the university to accord priority to ideological education and youth development. CYL has made conspicuous achievements in youth education of thought and politics, social practice service, scientific and technological innovation and entrepreneurship and the construction of grassroots organizations. CYL provides guidance to the Students’ Union and the Postgraduates’ Union to perform the function of self-education, self-management, and self-service, in order to constantly enhance the attractiveness and cohesion of CYL and to expand effective work range.

During the 13^th Five Year Plan, CYL will keep exploring new characteristics, new methods and new approaches of the  work of CYL in the new times, center on the Four-dimensional work mode of “gathering youth, serving the overall situation, working as the bridge and self-governing”, further deepen its own reform and innovation, unite and lead all league members of the university to implement core socialist values in practice. By enhancing cohesion and forging ahead, CYL is moving towards the goal of “Double First-rate” university, making contributions to the construction of the distinctive scenery in the northern border of our motherland, and striving for the realization of the Chinese Dream—the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
