A lecture on Qian Xuesen (1911-2009) -- the gifted rocket scientist who led China's space and rocket programs -- fascinated the audience when it was given at Inner Mongolia University in Hohhot, the capital of North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Oct 16.
Invited by the Inner Mongolia Association for Science and Technology and the Inner Mongolia Committee of Chinese Communist Youth League, his son Qian Yonggang gave a lecture on his father’s life contributing to Chinese aerodynamics and rocket science.
A total of 200 students and teachers from IMU attended the lecture and talked with Qian Yonggang after the lecture.
