Party Committee Central Group Enlarged Meeting was convened in IMU on the afternoon of February 17th, conveying the spirit of Conference on Ideological and Political Work for Institutions of Colleges and Universities Nationwide and in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and deploying the arrangement concerned. Zhu Bingwen, Secretary of the Party Committee, presided over this meeting, with all school authorities attending the meeting.
Secretary Zhu conveyed the spirit delivered in the speech by General Secretary Xi in the national conference and the speech made by Secretary of Party Committee Li Jiheng in the regional conference. He carried out arrangement in accordance with the spirit of two conferences.
He pointed out these two conferences are concerning future-oriented higher education and of far-reaching significance. In particular, remarks of General Secretary Xi elaborated on crucial status and targets of higher education in both Party and national overall situation and realistic meaning and essential requirement of how to construct socialist institutions of higher learning in depth and systematically discussed a fundamental proposition on what kind of talents we will cultivate, how to cultivate and for whom to cultivate. He clarified value-orientation of ideological and political work in talent training and the focus on intensifying and advancing ideological and political work, guiding the development of institutions of higher learning and put forward several views on how to implement it.
