Inner Mongolia Football Festival in 2016 was held in Hohhot on January 11.

Chairman of the CPPCC of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Ren Yaping, Deputy Director of People's Congress Standing Committee of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Wu Tuanying, and Bai Xiangqun the vice Chairman of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and leader to promote the reform and development of football teams in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, attended the ceremony.

The vice school president Zhang Jiwei and director of physical education department Yu Zhihai of IMU attended the ceremony.

In Inner Mongolia football festival in 2016, our school team (undergraduate super women group) won the best school football team in 2016; the coach of our undergraduate super women team Qu Jiale, and the coach of our undergraduate sunshine men's group Zhou Qingyi won the Annual Best School Football Coach Award in 2016.
