A series of activities were held to observe Learn From Lei Feng Day in remembrance of the soldier renowned for his generosity and altruistic deeds at Inner Mongolia University (IMU)’s north campus in Hohhot, the capital of north China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on March 3.

This is the 56th Learn From Lei Feng Day. The tradition started when Chairman Mao Zedong called on the country to learn from Lei in 1963, one year after the soldier died in an accident at the age of 22.

Students from Inner Mongolia University (IMU) sing patriotic songs and perform sign language to attract more students to participate in activities in remembrance of Lei Feng, at IMU’s north campus in Hohhot, the capital of north China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region on March 3.

IMU students donate books for children in poor villages and areas on March 3.
