IMU graduate wins prize at nantional English-reading contest

Graduate Sun Yang -- from the College of Computer Science at Inner Mongolia University --  won third prize at the 2019 “FLTRP·ETIC Cup” English Reading Contest, also known as Uchallenge, which concluded in Beijing on Dec 13, according to IMU officials.

They said Sun stood out from hundreds of participants, to take the award.

Initiated in 2002 by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, or FLTRP, the “FLTRP·ETIC Cup” English Reading Contest has gained great attention and credit both at home and abroad.

Over the years it has been regarded as one of the most prestigious English competitions with very high standards in China, attracting a large number of participants from across the country.

According to IMU officials, previously Sun won the Special Award (Top Prize) in the Inner Mongolia autonomous regional final of the contest.

They added that he then he entered the national finals.
