11 IMU undergraduate programs get national approval

A total of 11 undergraduate programs of Inner Mongolia University in Hohhot in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region got approval of their first batch of national first-class undergraduate programs, according to a list published recently by the Ministry of Education.

At the same time, another 12 IMU undergraduate programs were recognized and included in a list of first-class undergraduate programs at the autonomous regional level, while the number of IMU selected programs ranks was the most among all the universities in the autonomous region.

Across China, the first batch of 4,054 national first-class undergraduate programs were identified in 2019 after online applications by colleges and universities – as well as an examination of  college and university departments, and evaluation through voting by the Teaching Steering Committee at the Department of Higher Education in the Ministry of Education.

At the same time, through the examination and recommendation of autonomous regional education administrative departments, 6,210 autonomous regional level first-class undergraduate programs were recognized.
