As representatives from the Hohhot branch of the Association for Computing Machinery, six Inner Mongolia University’s teachers participated in the ACM Turing Celebration Conference – China (ACM TURC 2019) held at Wuhou district in Chengdu, capital of southwestern Sichuan province on May 18.

With its theme “Interconnected, Inspired, Intelligent”, over 1,800 experts, scholars and entrepreneurs -- from academia and the computer industry at home and abroad -- gathered in Chengdu to discuss the future development and applications of artificial intelligence.

Professor Huang Baoqi and Dr. Zhang Hui were presented with ACM China Council awards at the conference. Officials said the participating teachers not only broadened their horizons, but also improved IMU’s reputation and the academic influence of IMU’s computer science disciplines.
