Top organic chemists visit Inner Mongolia University

At the invitation of Inner Mongolia University leading organic chemists -- Professor Tamio Hayashi of Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University and Professor Masamichi Ogasawara at the University of Tokushima in Japan -- visited IMU in Hohhot, in the capital of North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on June 16.

At a symposium, university president Chen Guoqing gave a presentation to the visitors on IMU’s history and development, its recruitment program for top-flight staff, inter-school exchanges and cooperation, and its innovative training of talent -- and told them of its willingness to cooperate.

After the symposium, Professor Ogasawara gave a special report entitled "Synthesis and Applications of Chiral Conjugated-and Cumulated-Dienes" at IMU’s College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and met with  teachers and students.
