The North China division of the 3rd National Chemical Experiment Competition for College Students at Inner Mongolia University, Hohhot, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, ended on June 30.
A total of 54 teams from colleges and universities throughout North China gathered to participate in the two-day competition.
Participants demonstrated a wealth of theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and great teamwork. Participants and instructors took the competition as an opportunity to discuss and carry out exchanges related to chemical experiments.
Five teams, including a team from IMU, were awarded special group prizes after the competition.
The competition is thought to have a positive effect on the practical skills and innovative abilities of students, as it gives them an opportunity to learn from each other's strengths and make progress together.
The contest is expected to help promote the development of a “new engineering course” for chemical engineering majors in higher education institutions and improve teaching quality in undergraduate chemical core courses.
