IMU journalism teachers get key training

Journalism teachers from Inner Mongolia University earlier this year attended a key training session at the School of Journalism at Renmin University of China, according to IMU officials.

They said that the teachers from the College of Literature and Journalism of Inner Mongolia University took the three-day course at Renmin on Jan 4-6.

A total of 20 IMU teachers participated in the training to further broaden their subject horizons.

They also took the course to boost their research techniques and strengthen exchanges and cooperation with top domestic universities in journalism and communications.

The special lectures and training courses are expected to help with the challenges faced by the teachers in relevant academic research.

The IMU officials said that through close communications and study with experts and scholars, the IMU teachers had broadened their academic horizons.

They added that the course also enabled IMU teachers to better understand concepts and methods in the development of journalism and communications.  

At the same time, the IMU and RUC reached a preliminary cooperation agreement on personnel training, resource sharing, exchanges and cooperation, among other things.
