“Li Jidong (1957-1961, Professor and Former Vice President of Inner Mongolia University) Ecology and Environment Frontier Forum” was held on the afternoon of May 3rd, in Conference Room No. 8.
Academician Fu Bojie from Ecological Environment Research Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Shi Peijun, Vice President of Beijing Normal University and Prof. Wu Jianguo from Arizona State University made the academic lectures on ecosystem, climate change and sustainable development respectively.
President Chen Guoqing granted an interview with all experts before the lecture, and exchanged views on the issue of the university talent introduction as well as construction of top university and subjects, with Vice President Zhao Ji, Director Guo Xi of Office of Science and Technology attending the meeting.
The Forum was sponsored by College of Ecology and Environment, and co-sponsored by Ecological Society of Inner Mongolia and Humans and Environmental Research Center of Beijing Normal University. Li Yonghong, Dean of College of Ecology and Environment presided.
In addition to some of teachers and students of our university, there were more than 200 audiences in total from universities such as Inner Mongolia Normal University, Inner Mongolia Agricultural University and Inner Mongolia Forestry Institute.
The ability to grasp frontier technology and scientific innovation of teachers and students will be promoted via listening to the lectures and interacting with experts. Close exchanges between young students and scholars will have positive effects on the cultivation of young students’ academic course and life ideal.
On the morning of May 3rd , Prof. Shi Peijun, Prof. Wu Jianguo as well as Prof. Xiao Cunde and He Chunyang both from Beijing Normal University were invited to communicate with faculties of College of Ecology and Environment on subjects construction and research platform construction, etc.
