Our school held the Annual Spring-term Cadre Conference on March 14^th in 2017.  All school leading officials of IMU, cadres at or above the sub level from the main campus, members of the academic committee, faculty committee, professor committee and the leading officials of College of Transportation and College of Entrepreneurship attended the conference.

At the meeting, President Chen stressed the general requirements for our school in 2017: We would comprehensively implement the essence of the 18^th National Congress of Chinese Communist Party, Communique of the Third Plenum of 18^th  CPC Central Committee, and Communiqué of the Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Plenum of 18^th  CPC Central Committee. We would go deep into the important speeches delivered by general secretary Xi Jinping and the new concepts, new ideas and new strategies for administering our country, and conscientiously implement the spirit of the important speeches delivered by general secretary Xi Jinping in the inspection of Inner Mongolia. We would focus on the decision made by The Tenth Congress of The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and the spirit of The Ideological and Political Work Conference of University. We would take the implement of the "Double Top" construction and the construction of "a provincial school" high level university in Midwest as the main content, and put that into the work of carrying out the "Six Strategies" and "Six Reforms" determined by the "13^th Five-Year Plan” of our school, enhancing innovation capability and quality, adhering to the ideology of running the Party strictly and comprehensively, strengthening ideological and political education. Our school is determined to have a good performance to celebrate the 60th anniversary of our school and the 70 anniversary of the establishment of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and to welcome the successful convocation of the 19th National Congress of Chinese Communist Party.

President Chan did an in-depth interpretation and deployment about the "Double Top" construction and the construction of "a provincial school" high level university in Midwest. President Chan put forward three demands: Firstly, we must strengthen learning and improve ourselves. Secondly, we must strengthen management and vigorously promotes the implement. Thirdly, we must follow the rules and orderly progress the projects.

Secretary Zhu did a comprehensive deployment on Party construction and Ideological and Political work in the summary speech：Firstly, we need to strengthen the construction of leadership. Secondly, we need to strengthen the construction of cadres and teachers. Thirdly, we need to strengthen the construction of grass-roots organizations. Fourthly, promote the movement to build a clean government. Fifthly, we need to strengthen the ideological work. Sixthly, strengthen and improve ideological and political work. Seventhly, we need to do the autonomous region party committee in the implementation of the rectification. Eighthly, make sure the harmony and stability of school.

In addition, Secretary Zhu particularly emphasized the 60th Anniversary of our school, the application of the Co-constructing State Key Laboratory and the doctor's and master's degree authorization, the promotion of the development of the innovation and entrepreneurship education, the examination, evaluation and rectification of undergraduate education, the transformation of scientific research achievements and other important annual works.

In the end, Secretary Zhu stated briefly: the situation is getting better and better but still need our effort in 2017. He required that all teachers and students staff to enhance the sense of responsibility and sense of mission and made greater contribution for "double top" construction in IMU.
