Unveiling Ceremony was Held in the Maker Center of Cloud Computing in Horinger County, Hohhot

On January 10th, in order to strengthen the school-enterprise cooperation and practical teaching links in talent training, the unveiling ceremony of the MTI training base was held in the meeting room of the Maker Center of Cloud Computing in Horiger in Hohhot. This training base was built by the MathChina and the Inner Mongolia China Cloud Industry Development and Investment Co. Ltd. (IMCCIDI) together with the Foreign Languages College of our university.

This base is the first MTI training base of the Foreign Languages College of Inner Mongolia University.

According to provisions of the cooperative agreement, the MathChina will provide training opportunities for our postgraduates of MTI and cultivate MTI postgraduates for certain translation and interpreting practical abilities.

This meeting was valued greatly by the MathChina, IMCCIDI Company and the Foreign Languages College.

The teachers and leaders from the Foreign Languages College presented at this meeting were as follows: professor Li Manliang, dean of the Foreign Language College, professor Li Linjun, MTI director, associate professor Liu Jinyu, MTI deputy director and director of the English Department, associate professor Wang Jijun, MTI deputy director and doctor Cheng Jie, league branch secretary of the Foreign Language College and director of Student Affairs Office.

Doctor Ma Zhuang, the head of the MathChina attended the meeting as well as directors of its relevant departments and several staff.

Wang Gang, the president of the IMCCIDI Company hosted this unveiling ceremony and provided translation-training sites.

Other guests who attended this ceremony were as follows: Liu Quansheng, associate dean of the School of Mathematical Sciences, associate dean Zhao Guojun and director Liu Junjie of the School of Physical Science and Technology.

The meeting was first addressed by Li Manliang, dean of the Foreign Language College of our university.

He made detailed introductions for the delegates about construction works and achievements which MTI education of the Foreign Languages College had made in the past six years, as well as purpose and significance of the training. He also hoped students who entered the training base could make good use of this chance, steel their abilities and improve their translation and interpreting skills.

The head of the MathChina, doctor Ma Zhuang presented the original intention of setting up this translation training base, as well as the necessity and urgency of developing academic achievements related to the latest and big data in the English speaking world, and expressed his great determinations to provide full supports for the training of MTI masters of the Foreign Languages College in all aspects.

Liu Jinyu, one of directors of MTI Education Center in our university, introduced current situations about global language service industry and made a brief instruction about implementation details of training management, content, part-time tutorial system and evaluation system for the training base.

At the meeting, Li Lingjun, Wang Jijun and Cheng jie spoke respectively.

The speakers also included the president of the IMCCUDI Company, head of the Translation Department of the MathChina, translation representatives and professors as well as representatives of graduates’ supervisors.

The two sides discussed relevant issues in depth and reached broad consensuses.

The translation-practice cooperation which was established by the MathsChina, IMCCIDI Company and the Foreign Languages College will promote the localization of international excellent textbooks and resources and the development in international journal of big data. This cooperation will also provide excellent actual combat experience for the practical training of the MTI graduates.

We will gradually form systematic training projects through the scientific management of training base, ensure the high quality and efficiency of practical teaching, emphasize the social and economic benefits equally and supply high-level translators and interpreters for our autonomous region and country.
