IMU acts to help its graduates secure jobs

Various measures have been put in place to raise the levels of employment for graduates of Inner Mongolia University (IMU) in Hohhot -- capital of North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region -- and to reduce the influence of the COVID-19 outbreak on the work prospects of graduates, according to a release on the IMU WeChat account.

According to IMU officials, the “Inner Mongolia University 2020 Graduates Online Recruitment Fair” is ongoing on the IMU cloud platform for smart employment and entrepreneurship services for graduates.

At present, there are 331 businesses participating in the online recruitment fair and offering 19,886 job positions. The recruitment program kicked off on Feb 21 and will continue until June 8.

From March 13, various companies began holding recruitment seminars on the IMU cloud platform to help graduates fully understand the businesses and job positions on offer, a process which is still ongoing.

In addition, IMU held the 2020 graduates' spring online mutual election meeting on March 16-18, with 95 enterprises participating and 402 jobs offered. Also, on March 20-30, IMU and the Nanjing municipal bureau of human resources and social security jointly held the Charming Nanjing IMU 2020 graduates spring online mutual selection fair.

University officials said that at the same time, IMU is actively encouraging graduates to serve the national strategy and strive to develop graduate multi-channel employment.

They added that IMU has also moved to actively learn about and understand the supply and demand for recruits in key areas, key industries, major projects and important fields.

It has organized graduates to actively participate in the recruitment activities held by the Ministry of Education, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and other departments, as well participate in the online campus recruitment fairs for key enterprises
