Inner Mongolia University in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region launched online remote second-round examination for this year’s postgraduate enrollment on May 12, marking the first time for IMU to utilize such a test mode in its postgraduate enrollment, according to IMU officials.
Since the launch of the remote examination, 19 colleges at IMU have held remote tests successively, with 2,273 postgraduate candidates and more than 1,000 staff members participating in the first batch of the remote test.
After May 20, the second batch of remote examination work will be carried out for some postgraduate programs which need to be adjusted.
According to IMU officials, in face of the current COVID-19 epidemic situation and the relevant requirements of the Ministry of Education on the reexamination of postgraduate enrollment -- combined with the actual situation of IMU -- each college formulated reexamination work plan.
It arranged and made contact with the candidates one by one and carefully carried out a simulation drills for remote examination many times, to ensure the smooth functioning of the reexamination.
IMU officials said that in order to ensure the fairness and justice of the remote reexamination, each examination room has a full-time secretary responsible for the examination of the candidates' qualifications and identification.
After entering the online examination room, candidates must display their identity documents and formally start the retest after confirming their identity. The whole process of the retest is recorded for future reference.
