On the afternoon of March 19, 2021, IMU held a video conference with Germany’s University of Duisburg-Essen(UDE).

German attendees are Professor Dieter Schramm and Professor Axel Hunger from UDE and Mr. Li Xiaolong and Mr. He Linfu who are representatives of UDE.

Attendees from IMU are Erhimbayar, vice president of IMU, Bai Tuoya, dean of Transportation Institute of IMU, Professor Wu Jun, deputy dean of Transportation Institute of IMU, Professor Bai Fengshan, dean of College of Electronic Information Engineering, Professor Duan Manfu, deputy director of Division of International Cooperation and Exchange, Professor Weng Zhi, deputy dean of College of Electronic Information Engineering, Sun Guiling, deputy director of Division of International Cooperation and Exchange, Hongmei, chief of Section of International Cooperation and Exchange, Xu Xiaoxiao, chief of Section of Outbound Affairs and Wu Xiaodan of Section of International Cooperation and Exchange.

Erhimbayar, vice president of IMU, gave a brief introduction to IMU, its history of scientific research and its cooperation and exchanges with German universities and research institutions, and its friendly relations with German universities. He said that the conference would lay the foundation for the cooperation and exchanges between IMU and UDE in such areas as scientific research, teaching cooperation and exchange of teachers and students and play a positive role in furthering cooperation and exchange between two universities.

Professor Dieter Schramm and Professor Axel Hunger from UDE gave their respective introductions to the Faculty of Engineering of UDE and areas where two universities may cooperate and exchange with each other. They also gave some advice on furthering the cooperation and exchange between IMU and UDE.

IMU and UDE sign the letter of intent on cooperation.

At the conference, IMU conferred the title of visiting professor on Professor Dieter Schramm and Professor Axel Hunger and Erhimbayar signed the engagement agreement for two professors. The Transportation Institute of IMU and College of Electronic Information Engineering of IMU respectively signed the letters of intent on cooperation with the Faculty of Engineering of UDE. They all stated that further cooperation and exchange would be carried out in some disciplines and areas.
