2021CCF System Software Technology Forum Online Conference Held Successfully

The 2021 CCF System Software Technology Forum hosted by China Computer Federation (CCF) and organized by IMU and the Technical Committee of System Software of CCF was held online successfully on August 29, 2021. Themed Ubiquitous Operation System, the conference is aimed at exchanging the latest developments in the field of operation system, particularly ubiquitous operation system and promoting exchanges of the latest theoretical and technological achievements in scientific research, system products and other fields between the academia and the industrial sector.

Prof. Gao Guanglai, vice president of IMU, the organizer of the forum and Prof. Jin Zhi from Peking University, director of the Technical Committee of System Software of CCF, attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the forum. The opening ceremony was chaired by Prof. Bo Lei from Nanjing University, secretary general of the Technical Committee of System Software of CCF.

Prof. Gao Guanglai , vice president of IMU, gave an introduction to the development of related disciplines in IMU and expressed his wishes for the conference to build a platform for communication and to promote the development of ubiquitous operation system. Prof. Gao Guanglai expressed thanks to the experts and scholars who attended the forum, wished the forum a complete success, and extended sincere invitation to the attendees to visit IMU again offline.

Prof. Jin Zhi expressed thanks to the team of IMU for their energetic support to the forum. She emphasized that operation system was fundamentally core software and expressed her wishes that the present technical forum for ubiquitous operation system plays a positive role in promoting the building of a platform of communication between the academia and the industrial sector, constructing ecology based on ubiquitous operation system, and exploring the orientation of future development.

Nine well-known experts from the academia and the industrial sector were invited to give academic reports at the forum, and a summit forum themed Ubiquitous Operation System and Open Source Ecology was organized at which eight experts held in-depth discussions on four key issues including the current situation of operation system and the bottle-neck in operation system technology, how to further promote talent-training in the field of system software, open source ecology and system software and the challenges and opportunities of ubiquitous operation system and its differences and connections with conventional operation systems.

More than 20 representatives from institutions of higher learning, research institutes, scientific and technology-oriented enterprises and non-governmental organizations attended the forum. The entire forum was broadcast live on www.bilibili.com and watched online by over 3,000 viewers.
