The forum
The successful convening of the high-level international forum of life sciences and biological technologies plays an essential role for IMU in implementing President Xi Jinping’s import instruction of “making technical breakthrough in the bottleneck of breed resources and be determined for an upswing in breeding industry” and the objective of “strengthening the preservation and utilization of breed resources and ensure the safety of breed resources” proposed in the Outline of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) for National Economic and Social Development and Vision 2035. In addition, the forum facilitates academic exchanges between IMU and universities, scientific research institutes and enterprises both at home and abroad, broadens scientific visions of young scientific researchers and postgraduates, enlivens the academic atmosphere, and is of great significance in upgrading IMU’s scientific innovation capacity, contributing to the strategy of the State to rejuvenate dairy industry and that of the autonomous region to revitalize Inner Mongolia through science and technology, accelerating the transformation and upgrading of animal husbandry and the high-quality development of animal husbandry of the State and the autonomous region.
