Online lectures on the Uyghur Mongolian literature studies given by Northeast Asian Language Resources Center of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region

In order to have a further study of the languages, culture, society and history of the Chinese nation and tap deep into the connotations of unity and progress in ancient Mongolian literature, Northeast Asian Language Resources Center of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region(NALRCIMAR), in collaboration with Mongolian Language Society of China(MLSC), held “Cloud Lectures on Literature Studies and Digitalization” from March 30 to 31, 2022.Those who gave lectures include Prof. Hasierden of Minzu University of China, Prof. Oyunbilig, Changjiang Scholar with Renmin University of China, Tsengel and Burgud, research fellows with Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Prof. Aotegen with Northwest Minzu University, Prof. Gardi of Inner Mongolia Normal University, Bai Shuangcheng, research fellow of Inner Mongolia Academy of Social Sciences, Prof. Chimedorji, former vice president of Inner Mongolia University, Prof. Bayrmend,, director of Center for Studies of Mongolia, Prof. Chogtu, Prof. Zhengyue and Prof. Erden Batar.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Prof. Nasunurtu, director of NALRCIMAR. Huhe, chairman of MLSC and researcher with Chinese Academy of Social Sciences addressed the opening ceremony.

                                             

The experts gave the lectures named “Language Characteristics of Uyghur Mongolian Literature-The Filial Piety”,  “the Philological Study of Vocabulary in Mongolian Literature from 16th to 17th Centuries ”, “Precipice Inscriptions in Greater Hinggan Mountains and Reconstruction of Historical Materials from 13th to 14th Centuries”,  “the Study of Transliteration of Chinese into Mongolian in the Secret History of Yuan Dynasty”,  “the Study of Stone Tablets for Genghis Khan in Western Countries”,  “the Evolution of Round Vowel Harmony in Mongolian”, “Uyghur Mongolian Literature Excavated in Heicheng and Study of the Literature ”, “Characteristics of Vocabulary in Uyghur Mongolian Literature ”, “Mongolian Words in the Historical Materials of Arabia from 13th and 14th Centuries and Their Spelling”, “the Construction of Digitalized Platform for Mongolian Literature and the Existing Problems”, “the Alphabet of Uyghur Mongolian” and “the Reign Titles in the Secret History of Yuan Dynasty and the Altan Tobchi by Lubsandanzan”.

Due to the limit of the online conference capacity, online lectures had over 1300 views of experts, scholars and literary fans at home and abroad. Prof. Birtalan Ágnes, a well-known specialist in Mongolian studies, sent his congratulatory letter to the online lectures. Prof. Choijingjab, a well-known scholar of Mongolian studies, also sent his congratulatory letter. He believed that the conference, with vanguard form and rich content, made good use of the internet and was a good example for researchers to learn from.

At the closing ceremony, Prof. Dahurbayar, director of the Office of Humanities and Social Sciences, addressed the conference on behalf of the university. He introduced what IMU had done in the social science research centering around Mongolian literature protection and reservation.
