An important teaching project at Inner Mongolia University has been approved by the Ministry of Education, according to university officials.
They said the project was -- for the "virtual simulation comprehensive training for efficient and clean utilization of coal" – was sponsored by Professor Zhang Jun from the IMU’s College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
Officials said it was on a list of national experimental teaching projects issued by the education ministry on Jan 31.
A total of 298 projects were selected from 186 universities in China. Officials said this was the first breakthrough made by IMU in the field of national-level virtual simulation experiment teaching.
Officials said the successful selection of the project indicated that great progress had been made in IMU’s teaching of virtual simulation experiments, development of experimental resources and innovation.
China’s virtual simulation experiment teaching project is regarded as an important national measure.
It aims to promote the integration of modern information technology into experiment teaching projects, expand the breadth and depth of experiment teaching content, extend the time and space of experiment teaching and improves the quality and level of experiment teaching.
