IMU to further develop biological disciplines

Inner Mongolia University plans to further develop its biological disciplines, according to officials from the university.

They said that teachers and staff members from School of Life Sciences and staff members of the IMU’s National Key Laboratory participated in an important conference recently.

It was held on Sept 30 to promote the development of first-class disciplines and the provincial and ministerial establishment of a key laboratory for the reproductive regulation and breeding of grassland livestock.

IMU officials looked at the establishment of first-class biology disciplines and the construction of a key laboratory.

They said what was required was the development of a biology science discipline, focusing more on the resources and production of grass and livestock -- producing high-level scientific research results -- and developing IMU’s biology discipline as a first-class discipline with its own distinct characteristics.
