From July 10 to 11, 2023, the 1st Conference of C9 League on Graduate Education Work 2023 which was hosted by Fudan University and organized by Inner Mongolia University, was held in the Academic Conference Center of IMU. Present at the conference were over 260 attendees from Fudan University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Nanjing University, Peking University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tsinghua University, University of Science and Technology, Xi’an Jiaotong University and Zhejiang University. They included deans of the graduate schools of above-mentioned universities and those who are engaged in the work concerning graduates at those universities. The deans and deputy deans who are in charge of graduate work of the different schools of IMU also attended the conference.
Zhang Renhe, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, vice president of Fudan University and dean the Graduate School of Fudan University and Wu Limin, president of IMU, respectively addressed the conference. The conference was chaired by Gao Guanglai, vice president of IMU. Nine universities delivered their graduate work reports to the conference. The round table conference focused on the discussion on four aspects: strong-nation making with education, cultivation of outstanding engineers, cultivation of top-notch talents of basic disciplines and internationalized enrollment and management. There were 5 parallel sessions for enrollment, talent cultivation, degrees, ideological and political education and medicine.
