On the morning of September 16, 2023, the 2nd Symposium on Standardized Production of Chinese and Mongolian Traditional Medicinal Herbs took place in Room 228 in Building of Life Sciences of IMU. The symposium was hosted by Inner Mongolia Engineering Technology Research Center for Standardized Production of Chinese and Mongolian Traditional Medicinal Herbs (IMETRCSPCMTMH). Present at the symposium were over 50 attendees including the experts, scholars and company heads from Lanzhou University, Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Academy of Traditional Chinese and Mongolian Medicines, Inner Mongolia Medical University, Inner Mongolia Alxa Cistanches Group Co; Ltd., Inner Mongolia Shengqitang Ecological Herbal Planting Co; Ltd., Daodi Agricultural Cooperative of Guyang County and IMU, and postgraduate students.
Symposium
Prof. Chen Guilin, director of IMETRCSPCMTMH who is with the School of Life Sciences(SLS) of IMU, chaired the symposium. Wang Xiao, deputy dean of SLS, addressed the symposium. Prof. Li Hongyu with Lanzhou University, Prof. Chang Yanxu with the Key Laboratory of Modern Traditional Chinese Medicine of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Prof. Li Minhui with Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Academy of Traditional Chinese and Mongolian Medicines, delivered the academic speeches which are respectively titled “Commercialization of Featured Agricultural Resources from the Perspective of Intellectual Property Rights and Big Data”, “Anti-rheumatoid-arthritis Material in Radix Angelicae Pubescentis on the Basis of Vivo Process Analysis” and “Application and Practice of Big Data of Traditional Chinese Medicine-Take Inner Mongolia as Example”. Prof. Hada with SLS delivered a speech named “Exploration of Migration of RNA between Cistanche and Its Host of Sacsaoul”. Associate Prof. Sun Shuying and Doctor Su Youla who are with IMETRCSPCMTMH and SLS, gave reports on the development and achievements in the studies of engineering technologies for the standardized production of traditional Chinese and Mongolian medicinal herbs in recent years. The above speeches and reports aroused the interest of the symposium attendees. And the experts answered the questions raised by the teachers and students.
The symposium is very important for the improvement of the quality of traditional Chinese and Mongolian medicinal herbs, building of standardized planting bases, testing and evaluation of the herbs and research and development of key technologies. Moreover, the symposium has strengthened the academic exchange among the experts and scholars, which laid a foundation for further cooperation.
