On November 14, Vice President Da Hu Baiyila of our university was invited to attend the Annual Exchange and Promotion Meeting for the 2024 High-Level International Talent Cultivation Innovation Practice Project. Hongmei, the section chief of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, accompanied him to attend the meeting.
The meeting was held at the Communication University of China, with numerous guests from education administrative departments and 113 related institutions in attendance. Through methods such as work reports, keynote speeches, and group discussions, the meeting aimed to summarize the progress and achievements of the project, exchange ideas and experiences, study how to better carry out relevant work under new circumstances, and collectively promote the project to more effectively serve universities in building international talent cultivation systems, deepening international exchanges and cooperation, and advancing high-quality international employment.
As a representative of colleges and universities, Da Hu Baiyila delivered a speech on the theme "International Competitiveness: Not Just a Goal, But Also a Gene". He shared insights based on the characteristics of our university's internationalization efforts, discussing the implementation, main experiences, and existing issues of the "High-Level International Talent Cultivation Innovation Practice Project".
In 2021, our university was approved by the Ministry of Education to become a base for the "High-Level International Talent Cultivation Innovation Practice Project", establishing the "Global Governance Talent Training Experimental Class" at Inner Mongolia University. As one of the second batch of base institutions, since the launch of the high-level international talent cultivation project, our university has actively participated in the work of each module and the progress has been smooth. More than 3,000 teachers and students have participated in online courses on global governance, online cross-disciplinary courses of PBL, lectures on career planning for national civil servants, lectures by leading experts in academic frontiers, practical training in international organizations, teacher development service projects, academic and scientific research topic workshops by Chinese and foreign mentors, etc.
