Significant Breakthrough by Dr. Cao Xueyan’s Team from Inner Mongolia University Published in Top Communication Journal IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing

Recently, Dr. Cao Xueyan’s research team from the School of Electronic Information Engineering and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Key Laboratory of Intelligent Communication Sensing and Signal Processing achieved an important academic breakthrough. Their paper, titled “Self-Sustainable Multi-Functional RIS-Enabled Integrated Sensing and Communication Systems,” was published in the prestigious journal IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing (Impact Factor: 9.2, Top Tier, CCF Class A, CAS Q1).

Research Highlights

This study proposes a novel framework for Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS)-enabled integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) systems, emphasizing:

  • Self-sustainability through energy harvesting,

  • Multi-functionality supporting simultaneous      wireless sensing and data transmission,

  • Joint optimization of beamforming,      resource allocation, and sensing accuracy.

The work provides a theoretical foundation and practical design for future intelligent wireless networks that integrate energy-efficient communication and real-time sensing.
