Michigan State University delegation visits IMU

A delegation from the Michigan State University in the United States had a productive visit when it conducted a series of exchanges at Inner Mongolia University (IMU) in Hohhot, the capital of North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Jan 8, according to IMU officials.

Led by Keith Lambert, members of the Michigan delegation have a communications meeting with IMU officials.

Erhimbayar, vice-president of IMU, extended a warm welcome to the delegation and talked about his university’s general situation, development history and progress made in international cooperation and exchanges.

He also said that the visit of the delegation would play a positive role in promoting further cooperation and exchanges between the two sides.

A number of top IMU officials gave detailed presentations about their university and its research center.

These included Furthermore professor Mo Rigen, Dean of IMU’s School of Life Sciences; professor Liu Guodu from the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering; associate professor Zhao Ling from the College of Ecology and Environment; associate researcher Hou Jianyun at the School of Economics and Management and lecturer Wu Jian, from the potato engineering technology research center.
