On the morning of March 9th ,“Diligence, the Key to Success” grants symposium was held in The Building of School of Economics and Management. As the representative of the founders, alumnus of our school Xie Xianghua, dean of School of Continuing Education in Inner Mongolia University of Finance and Economics and Zhao Junlan, director of the Network Center, were invited to attend the meeting. Party secretary Zhu Bingwen, deputy director of Office of Students Affairs Hai Guang, Party general secretary of College of Computer Science, Li Guangwu Deputy dean of the Economic Management College Du Fenglian, Deputy dean of the School of Mathematical Sciences Liu Quansheng, other related deputy secretaries of The General Branch of the Department Youth league, counselors and all the sponsored students attended the meeting. Zhang Shiwei, secretary Party General Branch of School of Economics and Management, hosted the meeting.
Sponsored students made a speech concerning about their family difficulties, learning, living and the use of the funds.
Xie Xianghua and Zhao Junlan introduced the founding of “Diligence, the Key to Success” grants. Those sponsored students were expected to respect the willing of donors, establish a correct outlook on life, study hard, improve the quality, achieve an all-round development and contribute to our society. Li Guangwu put forward hopes for those sponsored students and introduced the selecting and recommending work of the grants.
After hearing the words of teachers and students, Secretary Zhu Bingwen expressed his gratitude and best wishes to the investors of grants. He hoped those sponsored students could remember the kindness and boost their confidence. According to the important speeches of general secretary Xi Jinping in national ideological and political work conference, he asked students to set up noble goals, have an all-round development and make contribution to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
“Diligence, the Key to Success” grants were set up with the generous support of volunteers. It has been developing for six years. So far, 180 students have received financial aids amounted 2.16 million Yuan.
