A meeting on preparations for the return to class in the spring semester was held at Inner Mongolia University (IMU) in Hohhot, capital city of North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region on April 27, according to IMU officials.
IMU leaders and heads of various departments and colleges attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Chen Guoqing, president of IMU, explained in detail the overall plan and requirements for reopening the campus.
Chen stressed that novel coronavirus epidemic prevention and control in IMU has entered a critical stage, as the resumption of school approaches.
He said that in order to ensure the health and safety of teachers and students, it is necessary to carry out information communications and psychological guidance between teachers and students.
This will be so that teachers and students can adapt to the new learning and living conditions under epidemic prevention and control measures as soon as possible, Chen added.
He added that the IMU must follow the back-to-school preparatory work plan and promote the implementation of frequent inspections in all aspects.
In addition the university must make detailed and solid preparations for students to return to school, making every effort to guarantee a smooth start, so as to ensure that those in the final year can graduate and get jobs as soon as possible.
At the meeting, three IMU vice presidents gave briefings on the overall plans on the basis of their own tasks and exchanged views on preparation work with the attendees.
