An academic paper written by a graduate from the College of Electronic Information Engineering of Inner Mongolia University (IMU) was accepted and used by one of the foremost conferences in the field of international communications, according to IMU officials.
The paper received recognition by the IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC) 2020 -- one of the most prestigious in the sector -- according to a report in the IMU WeChat account on May 5.
Supervised by IMU professor Liu Yang and written by IMU graduate Hou Li’na, the paper is the first of the College of Electronic Information Engineering which has been accepted by such a top international conference.
The paper is entitled Particle Swarm Optimization Inspired Low-complexity Beamforming for MmWave Massive MIMO Systems.
It talks about applying artificial intelligence methods to mobile communications systems and proposes a new beam shaping technology based on particle swarm optimization, IMU officials said.
