Inner Mongolia University -- a university in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region -- held a meeting on April 24 to discuss promoting its campus environment, according to IMU officials.
They said the meeting looked at making further arrangements for consolidating the achievements of campus environment upgrade, further creating a good environment and promoting the development of a civilized campus.
At the meeting Chen Guoqing, president of IMU, summarized the recent work of campus environment improvement -- also looking at the school's patriotic health campaigns and COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control work -- and outlined plans for further work.
Chen stressed that campus environment improvement is a systematic project which includes work on sanitation, greening, as well as creating order, beauty and other aspects. He said the quality of the campus environment is an important symbol of the school's governance ability and level of administration.
At present, the school is in the key stage of novel coronavirus epidemic prevention and control, so maintaining a clean and tidy campus environment is an important guarantee for the safety and health of teachers and students, he added.
Chen said it was important to continue to consolidate and improve the quality of the campus environment.
He added it was important to strive to create and always maintain a clean and hygienic, beautiful and delicate, safe and orderly, harmonious and civilized teaching and living environment -- so as to lay a solid foundation for the teachers and students to return to school and to help to win the COVID-19 fight.
