Recently the the Central Office of the Spiritual Civilization Development Steering Commission of the Communist Party of China announced the list of National Civilized Campus retained upon re-inspection, on which IMU succeeds in passing the re-inspection and continuing to hold the honorary title.
As the highest honor in the field of schools in the building of spiritual civilization in China and the concentrated demonstration of the civilization degree, comprehensive strength and overall performance of a school, the title of National Civilized Campus is appraised and awarded every 3 years. In September 2020, the Re-inspection and Appraisal Team for National Civilized Campus conducted supervision and inspection on IMU’s performance in building National Civilized Campus for the term 2018-2020. During their supervision and inspection, the team conducted meticulous and detailed inspection, appraisal and evaluation of the building of Civilized Campus of IMU through data consultation and on-the-spot surveys. IMU attached great importance to the re-inspection and summarized its work in the past 3 years in accordance with the requirement of Detailed Regulations on the Appraisal for National Civilized University and College Campus to fully display the progresses and achievements IMU had made in the building of spiritual civilization since it was the awarded the title of National Civilized Campus in 2017.
As institutions of higher learning shoulder the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, Civilized Campus are important positions to foster and practice the core values of socialism. Since it was awarded the title of the first National Civilized Campus, IMU has been sticking to Xi Jinping’s thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era as the guideline, taking virtue-fostering through education as the leading principle, and integrating the building of Civilized Campus as a foundation-consolidating, soul-forging and strategic project into the all the fields of the university and the entire process of teaching and education as the core work of the Party construction and ideological and political work of the university, built a working system covering all faculty members, all processes and all dimensions, provided fundamental guarantee for cultivating constructors of and successors to socialism with all around development of moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetics and labor education, and has supplied strong support to the endeavors in building Double First Class university and first-class university with distinctive features.

Research Center for Ideology and Internet Public Opinions was set up to conduct round-the-clock technical supervision over public opinions on the Internet, and Report on Public Opinions of Inner Mongolia University is accordingly produced, on the basis of which Analysis and Report of the Ideology and Public Opinion of inner Mongolia University is drafted for submission to the CPC Committee of IMU in each term.

Enhancing the capacity of talent training. IMU released Suggestions on the Implementation of All Staff Education of Inner Mongolia University, deepens the reform of student-centered training model of innovative talents supported learning+teaching+innovative practices and experiences, and actively encourages students to participate in academic practices. In the past 3 years the participation rate of students in training projects of innovative undertaking reached 61.75%, and 826 prizes have been won in various off-campus academic, scientific and technological contests. IMU strengthens theoretical studies and ideological guidance by launching the project of training of young Marxists, which trains 600 students annually.
