Our school held a policy interpretation meeting for the nomination work of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region's Science and Technology Awards in 2024

To better accomplish the nomination work for the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Science and Technology Awards and improve the quality and efficiency of award applications, under the guidance and support of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Science and Technology Department, a policy interpretation meeting for the 2024 Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Science and Technology Awards nomination work was held at our university on the afternoon of November 6th. This meeting was organized by the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Science and Technology Department and hosted by our university. Attending the meeting were Vice President Liu Yongbin of our university, Director Jin Long of the Science and Technology Achievements Transformation Promotion Division of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Science and Technology Department, Director Huo Zhongwen of the Science and Technology Achievements Transformation Center, Dean Yongmei of the Research Office of Inner Mongolia Normal University, Deputy Director Liu Quansheng and Dong Alideer Tu of the Science and Technology Office of our university, as well as candidates and relevant staff from Inner Mongolia Normal University, Inner Mongolia Medical University, related enterprises, and our university who intended to participate in the nomination work. The meeting was chaired by Director Jin Long.


Liu Quansheng expressed gratitude for the support of the leaders from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Science and Technology Department and introduced the participants. In his opening remarks, Liu Yongbin emphasized that science and technology awards are of great significance for regional and school development and for motivating scientific researchers. He hoped that all scientific researchers would earnestly understand the key points and essence of the nomination work, taking this policy interpretation meeting as an opportunity to increase both the quantity and quality of research achievements, striving to win more honors for the school.


Jin Long introduced the significance and purpose of the policy interpretation meeting from three aspects: enhancing understanding of policy formulation and filling out guidelines, properly handling the relationship between the nominator system and the candidate system, and grasping the correspondence between the pinnacle and the phased nature of innovative achievements. He stated that the Science and Technology Achievements Transformation Promotion Division of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Science and Technology Department would continue to provide guidance and service work.


Huo Zhongwen provided a detailed explanation and introduction regarding policies for science and technology awards, filling out the nomination form and precautions, content that does not meet the formal review requirements, and achievement registration. During the Q&A session after the training, he engaged in an in-depth exchange with scientific researchers on issues encountered during the application process.


In his concluding remarks, Liu Quansheng pointed out that the policy interpretation meeting was closely linked to reality, highlighted key points, was rich in content, and highly targeted, providing strong guidance for promoting the cultivation and application work of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region science and technology awards. The school attaches great importance to the application work for this science and technology award, and will meticulously organize and precisely serve to comprehensively improve the quality of applications.


Doing a good job in applying for the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region science and technology awards is of great significance for enhancing the university's scientific research competitiveness and promoting discipline construction. It is also a significant measure taken by our university to conduct organized scientific research and respond to and implement the "Five Major Tasks" of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. This policy interpretation meeting has played a positive role in helping a wide range of scientific researchers gain a deep understanding of science and technology policies, make full use of these policies, stimulate the vitality of scientific research results transformation, and better serve the economic and social development of the autonomous region.
