An opening ceremony for Inner Mongolia University’s first traditional Mongolian language training course was held in Hohhot, the capital of northern China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Nov 18.

According to IMU officials, the 10-day training course is sponsored by the department of finance and the department of education in the autonomous region and undertaken by IMU’s School of Mongolian Studies.

Almost all of the trainees come from Mongolia.

The university officials added that, based on previous strong cooperation and exchanges between IMU and teaching and scientific research institutions at all levels in Mongolia for many years, IMU has organized the traditional Mongolian training course.

At the ceremony, Professor Baasanbat from the National University of Mongolia made a speech on behalf of the trainees and expressed his high expectations for the training course.
