On the morning of August 1st, the "2024 MOOC Western Tour Plan 2.0 Jiangsu-Inner Mongolia Universities Library Literature Resource Construction Cooperation Symposium" was held at our Saihan Campus. The "MOOC Western Tour Plan" 2.0 expert group from Jiangsu Province, the library directors and academic affairs directors of undergraduate colleges in Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the main leaders of the organizing unit Inner Mongolia University Library, and business backbones from various departments attended the symposium on site. Library directors from other universities in Inner Mongolia and some librarians from Inner Mongolia University Library also participated in the meeting online.

The opening ceremony was held before the symposium began. Prof. Liu Shi, member of the Guidance Committee for Library and Information Work of the Ministry of Education, member of the Higher Education Branch of the Chinese Library Association, director of the Inner Mongolia University Library Working Committee, and former director of the Inner Mongolia University Library, presided over the opening ceremony.

Prof. Huang Xianjin, the leader of the expert group for the "MOOC Western Tour Plan" 2.0 and the director of the Nanjing University Library, and Prof. Xu Jin, the head of our academic affairs office, delivered speeches respectively, expressing their prospects for the cooperation in the construction of literature resources between Jiangsu and Inner Mongolia university libraries for the "2024 MOOC Western Tour Plan" 2.0.

The symposium is divided into two parts: thematic exchange and docking, and exchange reports. The theme exchange and docking session mainly focuses on three topics: "Implementation of MOOC 2.0 requirements and work plans", "Three literacy training work and requirements", and "Donation of literature resources". Prof. Huang Xianjin, the director of Nanjing University Library, presided over the exchange activity. After the theme exchange and docking, five university library directors from Jiangsu and Inner Mongolia gave keynote speeches.

The symposium is hosted by the Library of Inner Mongolia University, the Working Committee of Higher Education Libraries in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and the Library and Information Working Committee of Jiangsu Province, and co-organized by the Library Division of Tongfang Knowledge Network. Its aim is to promote cooperation between university libraries in Jiangsu and Inner Mongolia in resource sharing, technology exchange, talent cultivation, scientific research support, cultural innovation, and other aspects through exchanges between the two regions. It aims to strengthen the support of Jiangsu university libraries for the management, service, and talent cultivation of Inner Mongolia university libraries, and help improve their business capabilities and service levels together.
