A conference on national research projects was held at Inner Mongolia University (IMU) in Hohhot, capital of North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Nov 29, according to IMU officials.
At IMU’s invitation, Chao Ke, the Party secretary of the Institute of Ethnic Literature at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, presented a special report on "the prosperity and development of philosophy and social sciences and relevant research on the subject" at the conference.
At the same time, he talked about the types of national research projects, management systems, methods for planning and selecting research topics and outlined precautions that could be taken in making applications.
In addition, he also gave a detailed explanation of fund management and rules for fund spending.
He emphasized that everyone should attach great importance to the medium-term management of a project, and expounded on the areas that need attention in the appraisal and acceptance of the results.
According to university officials, the conference is expected to promote the development of philosophy and social sciences at IMU and strengthen the pertinence of research project applications and scientific values in project developments.
